What we offer

Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.

Before and After School Care

We know that access to high quality before, after and vacation care is essential for many parents of our school community.

Helping Hands Network

At North Ryde Public School we use Helping Hands Network, a well-regarded specialist provider of out-of-school-hours (OoSH) care.

The Helping Hands Network company philosophy is to provide more than just a child minding service and strives to build stronger, happier and healthier communities through the provision of quality childcare in partnership with children, parents and schools. They tailor their programs to meet the local school community needs. More information on the company can be found on the Helping Hands Network website.

Hours of service

  • Before School Care is available Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 8.40am.
  • After School Care is available Monday to Friday from 3.00pm to 6.00pm.
  • School Holidays or Pupil Free Days care is available from 7.00am to 6.00pm.

Enrolment in OoSH

Families can enrol online by going to the Helping hands network website.

Please note that there is no charge to enrol in the service, and we would encourage all families to consider enrolling. Even if you only need to use the service in absolute emergencies, enrolling provides your family with an extra safeguard. It is a licensing requirement that children can only attend the service if an enrolment form has been completed.

More information on OoSH

If you have any questions or for more information you can call Helping Hands on 0417 391 300 or email them at northryde@helpinghandsnetwork.com.au

Uniforms

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

  • meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation

  • includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics

  • is appropriate for the full range of school activities

  • is suitable for all body shapes.

Canteen

All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.

A limited canteen service is offered by the school. For current details refer to the school newsletter.
